This Thursday August 3rd, we will be having an A&S class on Kumihimo. Kumihimo is the Japanese art of making braids and cords. The word Kumihimo means “Gathered Threads”. We will be making a weaving disk and learning a basic pattern. If you would like to participate, please bring:
– a piece of medium weight cardboard
– at least 5” square
-2 different colors of string- this can be of any weight but embroidery floss or yarn work well
-Scissors
-Pen or pencil
-8 clothes pins-optional but helpful
We will have some limited supplies if you need them. This is one of my favorite crafts to bring along with me, it is very mobile and easy to do while talking.
