Memberships!
It’s how we keep track of activity in the group and help keep the lights on for the Society overall. You also need to be current on your membership to be an officer, to receive awards and to qualify as an Authorized Fighter in the Kingdom of the Outlands. Please double check your membership status by heading over to http://www.sca.org/members/index.html.
There are several different kinds of membership to include Sustaining, International, Associate and Family. Sustaining and International memberships gain access to SCA publications and Kingdom newsletters. An Associate membership allows you to enjoy the benefits of being a member of the SCA at a lower cost, but without the SCA publications. Family memberships allow you to add additional family members to your membership saving you money.
The last thing we want to have happen is for us to get an award recommendation kicked back or glossed over because you weren’t current. We want to make sure you get the recognition that you deserve and that you can join us on the field of combat in tournaments and melees for the Glory of the Crown!
If you have never been a member, now is the time to check it out and add to our numbers to show the Kingdom and the rest of the Known World the might of Citadel. You can start that process on the website included in this post. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. There are options for sustaining and associate memberships as well as family rates that may better fit your situation.
